  • Willian Lelis

    Willian Lelis

With over 20 years of both playing soccer professionally and coaching youth teams, Willian brings a wealth of knowledge and an unrivaled passion to the game that can be felt both on and off the field.

As a native Brazilian, his professional career brought him from the Brazilian Football Confederation to Figueirence FC to Botafogo FC and then onto many other teams until he eventually landed in Europe playing for FC Thun and FC Baden.

Since his playing career ended, he has dedicated his life to influencing the development of the next generation of soccer players. For 10 years he has taught at a variety of camps and has held positions as both head and assistant coach for numerous youth teams across the Bay Area including the well-known San Francisco University High School.

He is known in the soccer community as a dedicated, positive, and patient coach that has won the hearts of children and parents alike.

Currently, he is the head coach for the Boys and Girls teams at New Traditions Elementary School where he led his teams to win the championship of their bracket in the SF Youth Soccer League.

Willian loves coaching and is excited to be able to share his love of soccer with the athletes who attend the SF Dragons Soccer Camp!

  • Fernando Gonzales

    Fernando Gonzales

Originally from Mexico, Fernando moved to the Bay Area 30 years ago and has been coaching for 25 of those years. For many seasons, he was the head coach for the Boys and Girls team in the Mission Youth Soccer League.

He boasts a long line of successful teams and players that have thrived under his energy and enthusiasm with numerous programs winning cups and tournaments throughout his tenure as head coach.

His passion for developing young players and his ability to instill confidence and character in them earned him the CYSA’s coach of the year in 2017 for Competitive Girl’s Soccer for Northern California.

He continues this tradition today where he currently is a head coach for the Girls team at New Traditions Elementary School, where he lead them to many victories, finishing first in their bracket in the SF Youth Soccer League.

A proud father as well, his coaching and passion for the game extended to his daughter who was offered a full soccer scholarship at Notre Dame University.

Fernando finds joy in soccer and wants his players to feel the same when they step onto the field. Helping kids find this passion and learn important soccer fundamentals are two of his main goals for the SF Dragons Soccer Camp!

“We've been lucky enough to work with both Coach Fernando and Coach William for over two years now. Fernando has been my eldest daughter's coach for five seasons (fall and spring). Through his approach of skill building and teamwork, he's taken our school recreation team into the Upper House where they are not only winning, but enjoying the games, playing with passion and compassion. William was one of the few bright spots during COVID. His weekly camps kept both our kids active and engaged during an incredibly challenging time. It was the one thing our daughters looked forward to and most importantly kept them engaged and building their skills. Both coaches are absolutely wonderful with kids, while also providing structure and an understanding of the strategy behind the game. The fact that they have joined forces is a no brainer that we'll be signing both our daughters up!”
